crappy day today.

well.. not really crappy, but just long.

anyway, so i come home and i’m workin on a project to fix the file names and tags of my 72-plus gigs mp3’s, and i find a folder called ‘various artists’, and i open it and inside is a plethora [around 30 folders] of 80’s and 90’s music, 80’s retro, compilations of rock, metal, grunge, ‘now thats what i call music’ cd’s, 6 Warped Tour Compilations, 7 Punk-O-Rama’s, family value cd’s, MTV buzz cd’s. now i’m burning a ton of it to cd for in my car. this has totally made my day!

so, tonight i went and met with tammy, my new financial advisor. here’s the rundown of what i’m doin.

=refinincing house [transfering from countrywide to state farm]

=using the ton of equity i have [house is worth double what i paid] in my house to [1] pay off car, [2] pay off sears, [3] pay off fees for all this [couple hundred]

= my new mortgage will only be $107 more a month than i am paying now

= i will still save over $400 a month [because no car, and no sears [$16,000 total]

= this $400 will go into another life insurance policy.

= starting 401(k) that my company has. i’m gonna do 3%, and they match up to 3%.

= opening a line of credit for $20,000 because i’ve become excedingly paranoid that something will happen and i won’t have money for it. not neccesarily to me/ not a disability thing. so, i will never touch this LOC. it’s for emergencies only! if i don’t touch it, it’s only $20/yr.

= also, thru the refinance i am starting a… retirement fund. it will also allow me to never have to take out another loan again, once i get some money goin. if i want a car, i’ll call up tammy, say i need x amount of dollars, she’ll ask how long i want to take to pay it off [since it's already my money], and cut me a check. this will come out of this retirement fund. i will earn interest on money i pay back to myself.

i think thats it. i think i got everything right. it’s friggin complicated.. well for me it is. esp when i only got 3 hours of sleep last night.

so.. this week i will get a call and someone will come to my house, i will give them blood and urine [it better not be some wicked hot chick] for the life insurance policy, and in about two weeks tammy will give me a check that i will deposit into my checking account, i will then go to alta one, pay off my car, go to sears, pay off that, and i should still have a couple hundred to play with. i’ll just put it into my savings.

also, i will have 3 life insurance policies. i’m worth quite a bit dead. it all goes to dad.. if he dies, it goes to tim. maybe i’ll call him tomorrow and tell him if i die, he’ll get a couple hundred thousand bucks.[marq=right][/marq][marq=right][/marq]
