Flt230, SLC to PHX

There were a couple hundred people in the security checkin line. Thought i wasn’t gonna make it. Line moved wicked fast once i got through though. Got to the gate as boarding started. It’s raining. Neat i’ve got a little tv over the row in front of me!

Edit: So… right after this we started backing up, when we went to go forward…. nothing. We sat there for probably 10-15 minutes. There was a sound from inside the plane.. sounded like a motor or something. Anyway, we pulled back into the gate for about 1/2 hour. When we left we had already been served drinks once, and watched an episode of King of Queens [i love that show].

We eventually got in the air on the same plane. Got to Phoenix with about an hour till my next flight [layover was 2 hours], so I got some Pizza Hut and Burger King french fries. Yum!

I was the 5th one on the plane [The were calling by zones. Your zone was on your ticket.], and had a window seat. But when a father and his young [10?] son boarded, they had the seat next to mine, and the one in front of that, so I switched seats with the boy so they could sit together. Ended up sitting next to a British guy, and a kinda hot chick who talked to her friend in the next row over the whole time.

Got to LAX in about an hour, and my bag was liek the 5th one to shoot out the baggage claim. w00t! Grabbed my bag and booked it to the car. There was only a little traffic on the 405 [10-15 mph for 10 minutes], but the rest of the way was smooth sailing. I made it home 45 minutes sooner than Tim and I guessed I would.

Temple Square pics are uploaded.

Temple Square

Squaw Peak

Today is picture day. We drove by BYU and took some pictures of some ducks. Sreepy ducks. Then we drove up to the city of Sundance, Clint Eastwoods home. There were two gates that could be his to his house even farther up ther road. I also saw about 5 or 6 350z’s coming down the mountain, but I wasn’t in a position to take a picture.

We then drove to Squaw Peak and parked in a parking lot at around 6200 feet. It overlooks Utah Valley. It was absolutely gorgeous up there. There were a ton of cyclists riding up. I took a bunch of pics of them riding and a couple of guys from a group called ‘Y Cycling’ posed for some pics. I told them I’d email their pics to them.

There was also a paraglider waiting for the right time to launch. She said the locals said to wait till 3:30, but it was past then and she was still sleeping. So we left. I drove down. Next time I come up here, I’m driving. And bringing my stickyPod.

I’m uploading the pictures now. I post them later tonight. We’re going to get Tim’s mail from the post office, eat, and head into SLC to take some pics of Temple Square.

I am so buying a Canon EOS Rebel before Hawaii.

Here are the pics from today. All 290 of them. I’ll sort them out later.

Quack!
