Jeni and Randy sittin in tree….

You know the rest.

I did a Google search for “Jeni Mouw” and it returned nothing. I searched for “Jenifer Mouw” and came up with this gem.

Randy Martin was Jeni’s date to the prom.

Allen’s back

Allen’s back to FOB Warrior after a 60ish day patrol. I’m sure he’ll have quite a few amusing stories.

Summer ’07 Movie Mayhem!

In anticipation this Summer’s movie offerings, the Geeks of Doom run down the list of 25 films worth watching.

Vegas weekend

This weekend Dave, Brian, Charlie, and I went to Las Vegas for 2 days. It was interesting to say the least. I don’t think i’m gonna be going back to Vegas for a while, at least not until Jeni and I are married, and we’ll not be staying downtown [Freemont Street]. I’m tired of losing money down there. I never win anything. But, I go to the strip, and I always win. So lame. Plus the strip is nicer.

So we get there Friday afternoon, sometime before the sun is going down. As tradition requires, we go to Tony Roma’s in the Freemont Casino. Excellent ribs, as usual. Afterwards we head out and play some craps, and i’m in bed by 1am.

Saturday we get up, go do some gambling, get some In-N-Out on our way to a hobby shop Dave wanted to check out. We also went to Circuit City and drooled over the TV’s. I saw a 1080p picture for the first time. It was the most beautiful thing i’d ever seen. We then headed back downtown for more craps. We also went to a casino called South Point [or South Coast, cannot remember] that was really nice and new and we did pretty well at. Plus the cocktail waitresses were smokin!

At around 6:30 took the rental car back to The Plaza where Dave and Brian showered and changed [I had showered that morning]. We then hailed a cab to the Harrah’s for a comedy show. It was pretty good. We saw Jodi Borrello, Kenny Bob Davis, and Gary Valentine. Gary Valentine is a recuring actor on King of Queens, and was hilarious. He has the same comedy style as Kevin James, which I think is awesome.

before the show, while I had been riding the escalator up to the restroom, I notced that as the armrail approached the floor above, there was a clear plastic thing that would not allow you to get your arm/head/whatever chopped off by the ceiling as you rose to the next floor. After the show we were riding up the escalator, I was in front, about 8 steps above an old woman, then Dave, Brian, and Charlie behind her. I looked down at them and noticed this old lady starting to faint and pass out. She leaned over the armrail.. the same one that was coming up on the approaching cieling. Dave, Brian, and Charlie grabbed her and pulled her back and helped her stand as we rose. We got to the top and as we were trying to decide if she was ok, she said, in a very manly voice, “I’m ok. I just got dizzy.” Right after this, two of “her” friends came up and, also in masculine voices, asked if “she” was ok, and took “her” to the women’s bathroom. We all kind of looked at eachother dumbfounded. They were totally old men. Old, crossdressing, men. And when I say old, I mean around 70. it was the wierdest thing ever.

After the show, we played some more craps, went back downtown, played more craps, got comped dinner, ate, and I was again in bed by 1am.

Sunday, we ate while Charlie played more poker, before we left at around 1:30pm, to arrive home at around 5pm.

I arrived home to my replacement helicopter. I had had to send back the first one due to it being defective.. w00t!

I probably only had 6 beers all weekend. I just wasn’t feeling it. I missed Jeni so much. I wanted her to be there. I was quite lonely without her, and having to see couples everywhere.
