It’s been a while since i’ve posted anything. I’ve just be moderately busy [for a lazy person like me, this translates to extremely busy]. I’ve been finishing the drywall in the garage the last few days. Last night I put a second coat of paint on. All I have to do now is pull all the shelves and everything off the wall that attaches to the house, peel the bad tape, retape, mud, and paint it. Should look real nice once done.
I’ve also been busy starting to do wedding planning stuff. We would like to have the wedding at the United Methodist Church of Ridgecrest on October 6th [this year]. We’re penciled in for that date, i’m just waiting to hear back from the Pastor. If I don’t hear back from him today at around 1400, i’m calling him again. I also need to ask him how many people the church will hold. I’m sure there are area’s for us to get dressed, or…whatever. Jeni’s parents know the Pastor, and even the woman I talked to. We’re going to be bringing in our own Pastor. Pastor Dave Conrad is Jeni’s Pastor out at the Methodist church she goes to in Inyokern [Tiny! Would only hold like 30 people].
Last night, Jeni, Caleb, and I ate at Casa Corona and while we were in the area we went to ask if the Heritage Inn did wedding receptions. The guy at the front desk said no, but he was sure the restaurant, Victoria’s, did. We went back and talked to one of the owners. She was very helpful and friendly. We got menu’s and prices for people to eat. They cater, there is a bar, and pool table, a nice patio, and they’re very open as far as bringing in our own cake, our own keg, and other stuff. I’m going to call to talk to her husband today to find out how many people the restaurant holds. We would rent out the whole restaurant, so I’d also need to know how much it costs.
What else? I was talking to Dave and he came up with a quick list of things we need. I’ve made myself a wedding planning page with alot of info here. I’ve also, with my massive amounts of spare time, been filling out info over at theknot.com.
Update: I’ve just registered jeniandfrank.com. I’ll put the actual site up later.
