AdGoodness

AdGoodness highlights the best and sometimes the worst advertising around the globe.

I’m famous. Sort of.

Every week there is a new Heroes graphic novel released on the main site, nbc.com/heroes. This week, on the last panel, Hana had to put out a call for a ton of people to help her. I totally made it into the comic!!!! There are probably only 100 names on teh whole thing, out of a possible thousands who are playing.

I’m right in the middle… “DJ-Anakin”, in blue, under the white text.

Several people have claimed to see my name first and that’s how they knew it was user names of Heroes 360 people!

Bedtime story

For the first time, last night, I read Caleb a bedtime story. We were saying goodnight, and he asked if I could read him a story. I was quite taken by this.. I had never thought about me reading him a story. It’s always been Jeni, sometimes with me in the room listening/getting sleepy. But the fact that he wanted me to read to him was just something new for me. It’s kind of scary to me to know that i’m becoming a big part in his life, and that there is a huge weight on my shoulders to not mess this little kid up… to not want to fail him. It’s nothing I can’t handle; you just do it one day at a time.

The book I chose was Cat in the Hat.

Ringtones

I finally added the theme song from The Office as Tim’s ringtone when he calls me. [Available here]

Other ringtones on my phone:

Dad: Weezer - Buddy Holly
Dave: Airwolf theme
Jeni: The Police - Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
Glenn: Daft Punk - Robot Rock

I think that’s everyone that calls me. :|

Kernville

Yesterday, Saturday, Jeni and I joined her parents, her brother, Chris, and his wife and daughters up at the Kern River Brewery for Chris’s birthday. By the time we got up to the restaurant for lunch, I was absolutely starving. The whole time I was dreaming of a nice big bacon hamburger. After it came, I found that all their burgers came on delicious ciabatta bread. Words cannot describe how absolutely amazing this burger was. It was so mouthwatteringly wonderful! I’ll just leave it at that. I only had one beer, the Sequoia Red. It was quite good for an amber ale.

The 7th was Kari’s birthday, and tomorrow is Dad’s. Today, Easter, Jeni is working, and i’m going to dad’s for dinner.

Jeni and I have decided several things about the wedding: we’d much rather have more people than Victoria’s restaurant can hold. So, we’re looking into moving it to the Kerr McGee Center, which is kind of the city center. The 1996 Burroughs reunion that Jeni and I “met at” was there and it should be plenty of room. It’s $250 for half the reception hall, and $500 for the whole thing. We’re planning on about 130 people, so half the room should be plenty. So, I will be calling them tomorrow. Jeni called Friday, but they were all out of town or gone home for the day. I also need to call the church to solidify the date.
